Milestones
- March 1976: Sundries Company, a precursor of Vietnam Plastic Corporation, was established with main products are plastic products, footwear, detergent, metallic household ware and stationery;
- 1987: Renamed as The Union of Plastic and Sundries Enterprises;
- 1989: Renamed as Vietnam Plastic Union for Production and Import - Export (VINAPLAST);
- 1990: Vietnam Plastic Manufacturers' Association (VPMA) was established, in which VINAPLAST was the core of this organization;
- 1995: Vietnam Plastic Union for Production and Import - Export was renamed as Vietnam Plastic Company, retaining its name as VINAPLAST;
- 1996: Vietnam National Plastic Corporation was established, its name was still VINAPLAST;
- 2003: Vietnam Plastic Corporation inherited rights and obligations of Vietnam National Plastic Corporation;
- September 23, 2008: Equitized and operated as a joint stock company with the charter capital of VND198 billion;
- August 20, 2013: Adjusted the charter capital by the decision of Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Resolution of Shareholders. The charter capital was VND194 billion;
- August 18, 2015: Traded on UPCOM market.
