- 1956 - 1960: Book distribution department was separated from National Printing House for the establishment of Central and local Book publication Departments.
- March 1978: Central book publication department merged with Import - export book and newspaper company into Book publication Corporation.
- Dec 1997: Renamed to Vietnam book publication corporation.
- May 27, 2003: Merged with Information and Culture Press, Music Press and Science and Tech printing house.
- March 19, 2010: Transformed into Viet Nam Book one member limited liability company.
